This Privacy Policy explains how Lumeno Player, an application developed, published, and maintained by Lyxo Lab, handles information when you use the app.

1. Local-First Privacy

We believe that your music, device files, and playback habits belong to you. Lumeno Player is designed as a local-first music player. The app reads and stores the information it needs on your device so it can scan, organize, and play your local music library.

• No off-device data collection: Lumeno Player does not send your music library, audio files, playlists, favorites, listening history, artwork, lyrics, settings, or playback data to Lyxo Lab servers.
• User-initiated feedback only: If you choose Feedback, Lumeno Player opens our feedback page, which may link to an anonymous Google Form. Nothing is submitted unless you choose to submit the form.
• No analytics or advertising trackers: Lumeno Player does not include analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or background tracking systems.
• No account required: Lumeno Player does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or similar personal identifiers.

2. Local Data Used by the App

Lumeno Player may process and store the following information locally on your device:

• Audio metadata from your local media library, such as title, artist, duration, file reference, and album artwork reference.
• App-created library data such as playlists, favorites, hidden songs, play counts, and sorting state.
• Playback preferences such as playback mode, playback speed, player theme, language, notification setting, EQ settings, and sound enhancement settings.
• App-local metadata edits, custom cover images, and artwork cache files.

This information stays on your device and is used only to provide app features. It is not transmitted to Lyxo Lab.

3. Feedback Forms

If you use the Feedback option, Lumeno Player opens https://lyxolab.com/lumeno/feedback, which may link to an anonymous Google Form. Lumeno Player does not send feedback automatically. The form should not require your email address, account sign-in, phone number, or file upload. If you submit feedback, we receive only the information you choose to enter into the form.

4. Device Permissions

To provide local music playback, Lumeno Player may request the following permissions:

• Media/Storage Permission (READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to scan, index, and load local audio files stored on your device so they can be played in the app.
• Notification Permission (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used only to display optional system media playback controls in the notification panel and on the lock screen.
• Foreground Service / Media Playback: Used to continue audio playback in the background and to support system playback controls.
• Modify Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Used to apply EQ and sound enhancement features through the Android audio session.

5. Audio Files and Metadata Editing

Lumeno Player does not upload or share your audio files. The app may read audio files and metadata so it can display your library and play your music.

Some editing features may allow you to change song information or cover artwork. Most display changes are stored locally inside the app. Lumeno Player modifies an audio file's embedded metadata only when you explicitly choose a supported edit action and grant any required Android system authorization.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete Lumeno Player data by:

• Using Android system settings to clear app data or uninstall the app.
• Using Lumeno Player's Clean storage feature to remove app-local metadata and cache data.
• Revoking permissions from Android system settings if you no longer want the app to access local audio or notifications.

Because Lumeno Player does not maintain user accounts or store your data on Lyxo Lab servers, there is no server-side account data to delete.

7. Android Backup

Lumeno Player disables Android app backup and device-transfer extraction for app-private data. This means app-private files, databases, shared preferences, and external app data are excluded from Android cloud backup and device-transfer flows.

8. Children's Privacy

Lumeno Player is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the app does not transmit app-owned user data to Lyxo Lab, we do not knowingly receive personal information from children through the app.

9. Third-Party Links

Lumeno Player may contain links to external web pages, such as our official website, this Privacy Policy, or open source license pages. These links open outside the app in your browser or system handler. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted directly to this URL. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for changes.
